Virginia State Parks Information Stations

Having seen Imperial Multimedia's pilot Interpretive Information System in the Wisconsin State Parks, the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation contacted Imperial Multimedia about a similar project in their state.

Imperial Multimedia had evaluated the potential of a self funding system of Information Stations during the pilot program with positive results. In addition, the pilot suggested numerous enhancements that could be done to the program if implemented on a statewide basis.

These enhancements and the funding model have been incorporated into the current project for the Commonwealth of Virginia. Installed in summer of 2007, this project is the most advanced information program ever launched in a state park system. For the most current information on this program please visit the project website at www.vaparks.net.
