On April 6th 2006, Imperial Multimedia was contracted by the Commonwealth of Virginia to produce 31 touch screen interactive, outdoor kiosks for the Virginia State Park system. This project is the first of its kind in any state parks system and will provide an unprecedented amount of information to visitors of the parks, 24 hours a day, year-round.

Working closely with Virginia's DCR and park personal, Imperial's acquisition teams have already begun the the enormous undertaking of obtaining original imagery and important information at each of the participating parks. This challenging task has been aided immeasurably by the enthusiasm and knowledge of the involved Commonwealth and state parks officials. It is with their help that Imperial Multimedia will be able to deliver such a project by Spring of 2007.

Features of this kiosk will include: an interactive map with GIS accurate trail and point-of-interest locators, multimedia tours of each trail, comprehensive trail information such as difficulty, surfaces, and mileage, printing capabilities, and listings of area amenities with multiple levels of multi-sensory delivery.
